Book Launch Day!
After two years of writing and editing, my new book, Trust God, Love People, is launching out into the world today. These stories are no longer just mine, quietly tucked away on my computer; they’re now going to be in the hands of readers whom I may never even meet.
Writing a book is a bizarre process. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for as long as I can remember. But now that it’s time to share it and “promote” it, it feels awkward and incredibly vulnerable. I feel a sense of deep pride in the work, yet I’m holding it with an openhanded trust that God will use this book and these words.
I wrote this book in the (very) meager white space on my calendar. I carved out an hour here and a Saturday morning there. I prayed each time I sat in the chair, beseeching the Lord for the words and for discernment over which stories to share. Sometimes, the stories came out in a torrent, and often, I simply stared at the tauntingly blank screen. I wanted to give up, delete the whole thing, and tell my publisher “Nevermind” no less than a hundred times. I questioned why anyone would want to read these words, these stories.
Yet, I deeply believe we all have a story to share. I believe there’s so much value in being vulnerable with our sojourn on this earth. When we share and, most importantly, when we listen, we can learn, grow, be inspired, and be encouraged. Sometimes, that small spark of hope within our souls can even be ignited by someone else’s story.
And, that is my prayer for this book: May it ignite Hope.

Praying for God to use the words He gave you as means of hope for many and that God will be glorified though it.
Just received my book yesterday! Cannot wait to read it! May God use it for His glory!
